Methodology
How we research, rank & price.
MiniFridge.com compares 9,915 real mini fridges, beverage coolers, wine coolers, kegerators, and compact freezers across 1515 brands. We build every page from real product data — never fabricated specs, ratings, or prices — and we make money only when you choose to buy through a retailer link. Here is exactly how the site is built, so you can judge whether to trust it.
Where our data comes from
Product facts — brand, model, type, dimensions, capacity, energy use, colors, and features — come from manufacturer specifications and major-retailer catalog data. Product photography is pulled from manufacturer and retailer content delivery networks, and every image is checked to load and to depict the correct model before it appears. Price history is sourced from Keepa. When a field is genuinely unknown, we leave it blank instead of guessing — a missing spec is more honest than an invented one.
How we rank and filter
We are a catalog, not a kickback. Each shortlist — for example a best undercounter refrigerators page — is a transparent, rule-based filter over our live catalog, listing every real model that matches, ordered so the most relevant and best-value options surface first. Three rules keep the lists honest:
- No pay-for-placement. Brands cannot buy a ranking, a badge, or a spot on a list.
- A real-model floor. A list only publishes when at least six genuine models match its definition, so we never pad a thin category to look complete.
- Right products only. A "mini fridge for a dorm" page shows compact personal fridges — not commercial dipping cabinets, chest freezers, or kegerators that merely share a keyword.
The never-$0 promise
You will never see a fake $0.00 on this site. We only display a price when we have a real, positive one; when a live price is not currently known for a model, we show a See price link straight to the retailer instead. Prices move constantly, so the retailer page is always the source of truth for the final number — the click-through gives you the live price and current availability.
No invented reviews or ratings
We do not publish star ratings, review counts, or aggregate scores that we did not genuinely collect — and we do not emit fabricated ratings in our structured data for search engines to pick up. Where we help you decide, we do it with real specifications, real price history, and plain-language pros and cons, not manufactured sentiment.
How we stay independent
MiniFridge.com is part of the Fridge.com family and is funded by affiliate commissions: when a model is right for you and you buy it through one of our links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That revenue never changes which products qualify for a list or the order they appear in — the filters and rankings are the same whether or not a retailer has an affiliate program. See our affiliate disclosure for the full details.

Frequently asked
Does MiniFridge.com sell fridges or take payment for placement?
No. We are an independent research and comparison site — we hold no inventory, take no payment for rankings or placement, and do not let brands buy their way onto a list. When a model is right for you, you buy it on Amazon or the retailer we link to, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Where do your specs and prices come from?
Product details come from manufacturer and major-retailer data (titles, dimensions, capacity, energy use, features) plus real product photography from retailer and brand CDNs. Price history is sourced from Keepa. We never invent a spec; when a field is unknown we leave it blank rather than guess.
Why do some products show "See price" instead of a dollar amount?
Our never-$0 rule: we only display a price when we have a real, positive one. If a live price is not currently known for a model, we show a "See price" link to the retailer rather than a misleading $0.00. You always click through to the retailer for the final, live price.
Do you use star ratings or reviews?
No. We do not publish fabricated star ratings, review counts, or aggregate scores, and we do not emit them in our structured data. Our comparisons are built on real, verifiable specifications and prices, not invented sentiment.
How do your "best" lists get chosen?
Each "best" page is a transparent filter over our live catalog — for example, "best undercounter refrigerators" lists every real undercounter model we track, not a hand-picked few we were paid to feature. A list only publishes when at least six genuine models match, so we never pad a page to make it look fuller than the real data supports.
