The wiki
Every page type, explained.
This wiki documents how MiniFridge.com is built, page type by page type: what each page contains, how many exist, and what it is good for. MiniFridge.com compares 9,657 real products across 1,334 brands and 9 product types. Every number on this page derives from the live catalog at build time — nothing here is maintained by hand, so it cannot drift from what ships.
Price freshness: every price on the site was checked no earlier than 07/03/2026 — the stated date is the oldest price’s check date, so it can never overstate freshness.
Sections
- Product pages/p/[id] · 9,657 pages
One page per real product: full specs (capacity, dimensions, energy where sourced), real photography, live retailer offers with tracked history, and side-by-side alternatives. The page never shows a $0 price — a product with no live price shows no price.
- Comparison pages/compare/[slug] · 42,780 pages
Two-product side-by-side comparisons, derived from the catalog — each pair clears real quality gates (same type, both products strong, capacity within 30%, same price band, different brands) and renders real specs, prices and buy links. These pages are derived, not editorial: for "how many pages does the site have" style claims, count them separately.
- Brand hubs/brands/[brand] · 1,334 pages
One hub per published brand with every model we track from it. Brands are real manufacturer names — vendor codes and placeholder strings are screened out and never published.
- Collections/collections/[slug] · 605 pages
Curated intersection collections (By type & price · By type & size · By type & room · By brand & type), each backed by at least 6 real models with a buying guide and FAQ written against the actual product set.
- Best (money) pages/best/[slug] · 163 pages
Money pages: "best {attribute}" shortlists, each a real filter over the catalog with a minimum of 6 qualifying models — a facet with fewer real models does not ship.
- Product-type hubs/[category] · 9 pages
Root-level product-type hubs, one per type. Each type hub is the canonical page for its category.
- Room & use-case hubs/for/[room] · 8 pages
Room and use-case hubs — the "which fridge for a {place}" entry points.
- Capacity hubs/capacity/[bucket] · 4 pages
Capacity-band hubs across the whole catalog.
- Price hubs/price/[bucket] · 4 pages
Price-band hubs across the whole catalog.
- Guides/guides/[slug] · 29 pages
Independent editorial buying and how-to guides. Numbers inside guides come from the catalog or cited primary sources — never invented.
- Tools/tools/[slug] · 11 pages
Free interactive utilities — no sign-up, and every estimate states its assumptions. Energy cost is always computed from user input, never a hardcoded rate.
- Compact Refrigeration Price Index/data/price-index · 1 page
42 months (2023-01 to 2026-06), 5 published categories, methodology v1.0. Matched-model and chain-linked: each month-over-month step is the median price change among products observed in BOTH months, so catalog churn cannot move it. Categories below the 30-matched-model threshold are disclosed as below threshold, not published thin. Every figure is computed from price points recorded on each product’s own Amazon listing (NEW condition). This is a single-retailer series, not a measure of multi-retailer market pricing, and it is never merged with any other price series.
- Index, trust & legal pages/ · 16 pages
One page each: the home page, /shop (all products), /deals (real price drops only — models priced a band-scaled floor below their own 90-day median tracked price; never a fabricated discount), the section indexes (/best, /brands, /collections, /compare, /guides, /tools, /data), and the trust and legal set (/about, /methodology, /support, /affiliate-disclosure, /privacy, /terms). Contact routes through /support; no email address is displayed on the site.
What we never publish
- A fabricated spec, count, rating, review, or date — a value missing from the data is omitted, not invented.
- A $0 price, ever. Missing price renders as no price.
- Fake discounts or urgency. /deals is computed from tracked price history.
- Thin pages: a money facet or collection with fewer than 6 real models does not ship.
Machine-readable renderings: /llms.txt (curated index) and /llms-full.txt (this wiki as one text file).
