Matched-model and chain-linked: each month-over-month step is the median price change among products observed in BOTH months, so catalog churn cannot move it. Categories below the 30-matched-model threshold are disclosed as below threshold, not published thin. Every figure is computed from price points recorded on each product’s own Amazon listing (NEW condition). This is a single-retailer series, not a measure of multi-retailer market pricing, and it is never merged with any other price series.
